Lesson 4 - Adding VoIP Devices

As part of provisioning a customer, you assign a VoIP device (telephone) to their account.

Use RPM to maintain an inventory of the VoIP devices. Momentum does not control these resources; it simply needs to "know" about them in order to associate the VoIP service with it (via MAC address).

There are two ways to add VoIP devices:

This lesson explains how to add one VoIP device.

To add one VoIP device:

  1. On the Administration menu, click Resources Management, and then click Service Provisioning.

  2. On the Service Provisioning page, click Device Management.

    The Device Management page is displayed.

  3. On the Enter device information tab, enter details about the new device:
  4. Click Submit.

  5. The Device Management page is displayed again; the device you added is included in the Device listing group.
